Find out if your smile could benefit from getting dental crowns or a bridge.

Take a second to think about it: When you go out in public, do you find that you try to hide your smile from those around you? Do you feeldental crowns embarrassed by unsightly, damaged or missing teeth? This is never something we want our patients to experience. That is why you should always turn to your West Hartford, CT dentists, Dr. Bradbury and Dr. Amato, for the treatment your smile so desperately deserves.

Is a dental crown the best option?

If you are dealing with any of these dental problems then a crown may be the best option for you:

  • Cracked or broken tooth
  • Severely decayed tooth
  • Misshapen or severely discolored tooth

Crowns are ideal for restoring strength, resilience and function back into a weak tooth. However, these restorations can also be used for aesthetic purposes, particularly if these issues can be tackled by other cosmetic treatments like teeth whitening or dental veneers.

Is a dental bridge a good dental restoration for you?

Are you dealing with one or more missing teeth? If so, then bridges could be a great option for reviving your smile. Supported by healthy surrounding teeth, bridges are designed to replace your missing tooth with an artificial one. Dental crowns are placed over your prepared natural teeth to anchor this restoration in place so what you are left with is a full, natural-looking smile.

How do you get crowns and bridges?

You will need to come in to our West Hartford office for a consultation so we can examine your smile and determine if crowns and/or bridges is the ideal treatment option. If so, the next step is to prepare the tooth or teeth for a crown. This requires us to shave down the tooth’s enamel to make room for your new restoration.

Then impressions of your teeth are taken so that a lab can use these impressions to create your personalized crown and bridge. After about a week or so you will come back in so we can check the fit of your new restoration and then cement it into place.

Don’t be embarrassed by your smile any longer. Your cosmetic dentist in West Hartford, CT will certainly give you something to smile about. Turn to Drs Bradbury & Amato, PC for all of your smile needs.
